Carlos del Cerro
Carlos is Senior Business Consultant with Sanford Rose Associates - Spain. As SBC, Carlos is currently responsible for the business development of Sanford Rose Associates Spain. His duties in this role included acting as the lead partner and allocating the firm’s resources in order to allow principal players to grow their clients. Carlos provides consultation in the human resources growth and organizational structure development areas, particularly focusing on issues at the executive level. He provides clients with direction in growing companies or divisions, and improving offer to acceptance ratios. Currently, Carlos is leading the international expansion efforts of Sanford Rose Associates Spain operations.
Carlos embarked on his career as a search Consultant in 1985 when he joined GKR, the third Executive Retainer Firm in London and he was responsible of the establishment of a subsidiary in Madrid. He has successfully recruited top executives to fill positions such as General Manager, Country Manager, CEO, COO, CFO and CIO across a variety of companies and industries.
As a leader in general projects at GKR and later in his own company, Carlos and his team have successfully completed searches to fill up to more than 250 positions including several Senior positions, Managing Directors in Japanese and American Banks and in several Finance Institutions. Carlos has worked closely with several companies, building his understanding of their business while strategically recruiting the industry’s most talented individuals. In addition to his success in the Banking Industry, Carlos has built an excellent practice in General Management and International Operations.
Carlos received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Institute of Technology of New South Wales with concentrations in Management Operations and Marketing. While in Sydney, Carlos was working in a leading Spanish Bank. He was a member of the Banking Institute of Australasia, and the Economic Society of Australia and New Zealand. Since 1978 back to Madrid, he has worked in two of the largest chemical worldwide organizations. He currently lives in Madrid, with his wife Lola and their child Jaime.
Oscar Roca
Oscar hires and directs a team of business developers and recruiters to deliver quality candidates to meet our clients human capital needs. He is also responsible for all day-to-day financial and administrative operations at Sanford Rose Associates - Spain. He brings with him over 20 years of General Management, Operations and Sales experience.
He joined Sanford Rose Associates - Spain in October of 2005. Prior to that Oscar was Vice President with another Staffing Organization. He held various sales and sales management positions with industry leader MSD. While there he managed the largest and most profitable district in the company. He was recruited to the number two company in the document industry, to lead the Eastern Region of their Document Systems Division. This business unit marketed hardware, software and e-forms solutions to client base. He turned this business unit around profitably in 12 months. Oscar received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Madrid Universidad Complutense. He currently lives in Madrid downtown with his wife Rebecca and their daughter Mary.
Lola Hernandez
Lola has specialized in recruiting multiple level HR talent for over a decade. She is viewed as an industry expert and is nationally recognized among top recruiters. Prior to her work with Sanford Rose Associates - Spain, Lola was an employee of Manpower Organization. She has proven herself an invaluable asset, being consistently ranked among the top fifth percentile of recruiters nationwide and ranking in the top ten in 1997, 1998 and 1999, out of a field of 2000. Lola has been the keynote speaker at a number of Staffing related industry conferences.
Lola provides consultation to Sanford Rose Associates’ clients in the areas of human resources growth and organizational structure and development at the executive level. In addition, Lola provides clients with direction in how to grow their companies or division, how to reengineer their search process, how to reduce hiring cycle time and how to improve offer-to-acceptance ratios.
Prior to joining Sanford Rose Associates - Spain, Lola spent many years in the staffing industry cultivating her recruiting talents. She is a graduate of the University of Madrid, with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Lola and her husband Carlos reside in the Madrid with their son James.
Elena del Cerro
Elena heads the emerging Technology and Electronic Commerce practice, and also serves as a Principal in the General Management and International Operations practice.
Elena embarked on her career as a recruiter in 1997 when she joined a staffing solutions company. During her two years serving the organization, Elena consistently ranked in the top. She has successfully recruited top executives to fill positions such as Partner, General Manager, Country Manager, CEO, COO, CFO and CIO across a variety of companies and industries.
As the leader of the emerging Technology and e-commerce business development efforts at Sanford Rose Associates, Elena and her team have successfully completed searches to fill positions including Senior Vice President, Managing Director of e-Supply Chain, National Practice Leader—Financial Services, Technology Partner, Regional Practice Leader, Director of Client Services and Chief Marketing Officer. Elena has also built creative teams in the e-business sector, filling a number of Senior Design and Development positions. Elena has worked closely with several new technology and e-business solution companies, building her understanding of their business while strategically recruiting the industry’s most talented individuals.
In addition to her success in the Technology Industry, Elena has built an excellent practice in General Management. Elena has also had tremendous success filling positions in the retail and consumer products industry, completing searches in senior level finance, operations, sales and marketing. Elena received her Bachelor of Science in Law from the UCM. She is currently living in Madrid, with her husband Manuel and her five children Carlos, Manuel, Bosco, Pablo and Nicolas.
John Oxemberg
John is Principal and heads the General Management, , Operations and Finance practices of Sanford Rose Associates. He has extensive experience in building high performance teams across a broad range of industry sectors.
Prior to his work with Sanford Rose Associates, John held a number of General Manager, Vice President and COO/CEO positions across a variety of businesses in ECI. During John's ten years at ECI, he led an internal business performance improvement consulting group in Corporate Engineering and Manufacturing (CE&M) that drove major global reengineering and process improvement initiatives across ECI's businesses. Later at ECI, he reengineered and ran major segments of the $5 billion global business.
At Sanford Rose Associates Spain, John has built a premiere search and consulting practice, working closely with top industry executives to understand their business needs. John's strategy allows him to focus on select clients within various industry sectors. By partnering with the key executives of client organizations, he stays closely linked to their business issues and the problems they need to solve. John's keen ability to identify and recruit top talent along with his understanding of the client's needs and culture improves the offer to acceptance ratio, reduces hiring cycle time and ultimately creates a faster pay back on staffing critical positions.
In the recent months, John and his team have successfully completed over 25 Director, General Manager and VP searches in areas including: Operations, Sales and Marketing, Finance and Business Unit Management. Additionally, John just completed searches for a VP of Manufacturing. John has a BA and MBA from Sydney University.
John and his wife Jill live in downtown Madrid with their children John and Dorothy.
