Start-up and Initial Investment

Sanford Rose Associates franchises are offered at a price of $49,900. Prospective buyers with significant executive search experience or who own a recruiting firm may pay a franchise fee that ranges between $25,000 and $45,000. In return for payment of this initial franchise fee, you receive a franchise to do business as Sanford Rose Associates, training, a New Owner Start-up Package, a protected territory, use of our search assignment and candidate file interchange system and other benefits. The New Owner Start-Up Package consists of computer software, a phone system, a website, e-mail addresses and stationery.

Because the executive search business requires minimal capital investment (primarily office furniture and equipment) and has low operating costs, the total cash requirement to open an SRA office - including six months of working capital - will generally be in the $64,000 to $104,000 (US) range for a North American office. Funds for personal living expenses during the start-up period should also be budgeted. The costs of opening an SRA office in other parts of the world will vary, as will typical recruiting fees.

If you are seeking financing, we will assist you in preparing any information needed by a lender of your own choosing. If you are unable to pay the franchise fee in full in cash at the time of signing of the franchise agreement and unable to obtain other financing, we will allow you to finance by a promissory note up to $20,000 of the franchise fee for a period not to exceed 16 months from the start of training. A minimum down payment of $25,000 is required. The balance is paid in four 120-day installments with interest calculated at the nominal annual rate of 12.00% (12.68 APR). There are no refunds under any circumstances.
