The Sanford Rose Associates® - Franklin team
Tom is a graduate of the Terry School of Business at the University of Georgia and spent 19 years with Sonoco, a Global Packaging Company. He was Vice President of a regional staffing company before founding Sanford Rose Associates® – Franklin. Tom has passed exams to become a Certified Personnel Consultant and Role Based Assessment Consultant. The Franklin Office was among the top five offices out of 65 globally in 2009 and among the top ten in 2008.
Tom and his wife Paula live in Franklin with their three teenage children. Tom is active in the Big Brother/Big Sister program and Rotary International. Tom is an avid sportsman and photographer.
Greg Sparzo started his career with big companies, (General Electric and Eastman Kodak) prior to starting a 20 year career with smaller entrepreneurial companies and academia. He spent much of the 1990’s and 2000’s in small and start up endeavors in engineering, enterprise software, internet and pharma. He has held senior level sales and marketing positions as well as travelled internationally on business in the days before the internet made software demos a simple task.
In 1995 he started teaching in the MBA program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institutes Hartford campus and has taught PRODUCT MANAGEMENT, MARKETING, Strategy, Market Research, Valuation, Sales and Entrepreneurship. In 2009 his book, The PWAC Manifesto: Understanding the Skills Gap and Creating a Culture of Competence was released, alerting forward thinking organizations that now is the time to make your organization a “magnet for smart people” to retain the best talent and help change the balance of power in your industry.
Greg holds a Bachelors in Economics from the University of Connecticut, a Masters in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is pursuing a Doctorate in Education at Northeastern University in Boston.
Co-Founder of Tennessee-based Coherent Counsel and Partner in Philadelphia, PA-based, The Gabriel Institute, Bill Puryear was born and raised in Nashville, TN., attended Auburn University and has made business and relational impact all over the world.
Prior to moving back to the Nashville area in late 2009, Bill worked in international business - living in the UK, Italy and Japan; starting, growing and turning around companies. As President & COO in a publicly traded engineering and manufacturing group, Bill created numerous strategic business relationships and partnerships and led the buy-outs/integration of competitors in Europe and North America. He targeted and successfully penetrated key clients and opened up new, profitable and diverse markets around the world.
Having conducted business in twenty-five countries and managed multiple, international, vertically-integrated business units with diverse, blended cultures… - Bill knows what it takes to make successful business, successful leaders and functional organizations - on a global scale. Bill loves helping build leaders, teams and better functioning organizations.
Jim has spent over four years in the recruiting industry, specializing in positions involving specific software systems, high-level executive search, and healthcare. Jim brings this experience and knowledge to Sanford Rose Associates® - Franklin to assist in the packaging/transportation/logistics industries. He’s also had careers managing tennis facilities and as a health insurance broker with one of the top brokerage firms in the southeast.
Jim and wife Laurie, live in Franklin with their two children, Jay (13) and Annie (10). Jim is a former nationally ranked tennis player, and is still avidly involved in the sport.
Alice Marie is a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She enjoyed a successful career with AT&T before joining Sanford Rose Associates® in 2007. Alice Marie leads the Research Department at Sanford Rose Associates®-Franklin.
