Darryl Littleton, President

Darryl Littleton is President and owner of Sanford Rose Associates Cincinnati, a retained executive search firm specializing in Enterprise Excellence for manufacturing businesses. Darryl's entire career has been closely connected to manufacturing and continuous improvement. He began his career as an Industrial Engineer with Browning Manufacturing (now EPT), a major division of Emerson Electric.
After 11 years with Emerson, he joined Warner Electric Brake and Clutch Company in South Beloit, WI. In 1984, he was recruited by Ingersoll Engineers, a highly respected consulting firm that specialized in shop-floor improvements such as JIT, cellular manufacturing, focused factories, etc. These techniques and disciplines are still valid in today's Lean journey. Darryl spent eight years with Ingersoll Engineers where he was elected Senior Partner and Director in 1989.
Darryl joined General Signal Corporation (now part of SPX) as VP Manufacturing in 1992. After three years as an Officer in the corporation, he accepted a turnaround challenge as President of one of the operating units. The turnaround was a success and the business was sold to a strategic buyer.
Darryl was recruited back to Emerson as SVP Operations for EPT in 1998. There, he had overall responsibility for 10 plants that manufactured $350 million in sales in the US and Mexico. Darryl was a member of the core team of Division and Corporate executives who initiated and supported the Lean efforts within Emerson and he headed up the effort at EPT.
Recognizing that the most important role of senior management is getting the right people in the right jobs, Darryl started his own executive search business in 2000. Combining his consulting, corporate, GM, and operations background, Darryl is uniquely qualified to assist as clients seek to improve their organizations.
Darryl has a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Technology from Morehead State University and an MBA from Northern Illinois University. Darryl is a member of the Cincinnati chapter of ACG, Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce, and NAPS.
Darryl is an avid sports enthusiast and a woodworking hobbyist.

Amy Shilling is an Executive Recruiter with Sanford Rose Associates – Cincinnati South. She has over six year’s success in placing mid-to-upper level management in manufacturing companies. She is experienced in placing executives in such functions as Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Human Resources. Her distinctive competence is Enterprise Excellence and she helps clients with strategic transformations, Topgrading, Lean/Six Sigma, succession planning, confidential and difficult searches, as well as the routine.
Amy attributes her success in recruiting to strategic positioning and intense research. Amy learns new industry needs quickly and pays careful attention to her matching her clients’ needs with her candidates’ career goals. Amy has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Cincinnati, and is a Certified Personnel Consultant.
She is happily married and the mother of four children. Amy is family oriented and likes watching soccer games and leading Cub Scout den meetings. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, jogging and playing in the park.
